Meet the Candidate

...But We Made It Happen! from Eduography on Vimeo.

Ronald Mitchell was raised by a single mother and his grandmother. They didn’t have much money or resources, but taught him values from the farmland of Mississippi to help him discover and develop his talent, in Chicago, where he grew up. Like many young Americans, Ronald served his country as a soldier, worked part time and took out loans to put himself through school.

After college he worked for the YMCA as a volunteer and mentor for at-risk youth, to help inspire and turn around a community infested with drugs and gang violence. Ronald turned down phenomenal opportunities after law school to return to Chicago, where he focused on inspiring people to build better communities and become involved. He volunteered at a small law firm, taught business law and management while acquiring his MBA, and later worked as a management consultant in the Washington D.C. metro area. Lead by his Christian faith and values, as an entrepreneur he helped launch a foundation in Alexandria, Virginia to combat mediocrity within schools, inspire leadership and mentor at-risk youth.
